A lot of royalists on both sides of the pond just can’t help but wonder: is the abolishment of the British monarchy near? With King Charles operating in crisis mode, that is a clear possibility.

Seeing how the King of England might follow through with taking Andrew’s titles through parliament, many critics can’t help but wonder if this might be the beginning of the end of the royal family as we know it.

For anti-royalists, it seems like they are almost crossing their fingers in the hopes that the whole British monarchy moves closer to abolishment. After all, anything is possible at this moment.

Of course, royalists on both sides of the aisle had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “I want people to start questioning why these people are getting public money while not paying taxes. I want people to be mad that Andrew is being financially supported by Charles.”

“If the royals can use their private wealth to pay off victims and to support rapists they can use their private wealth for security, housing and everything else taxpayers cover for them.”

What’s Next For King Charles And The Royal Family?

Another critic wrote, “They won’t disappear but they are fast tracking to becoming like the other European houses who are so irrelevant on the world stage.”

“Commonwealth countries will continue to leave, the royals/UK don’t have strong presence in former colonies and lastly, none of the royals have the same respect/admiration Elizabeth had. Although, what positive accomplishment did Elizabeth fulfill?”

And then there was this comment as well: “If Charles and William’s freebies get scrutinised and prosecuted, then maybe we will get moves to abolition. Charles and William’s financial records need to have the full blast of sunlight. As they say, follow the money and multiple holidays on someone else’s dime should yield answers.”

“At the very least, the king and heir should have second thoughts about accepting gifts from a foreign government or private individuals. They receive enough money from the public.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Watch this space for more.
