King Charles Facing Pressure To Cut Royal Funding

There’s a report by the Mirror that says there’s a huge push for radical cuts to royal public funding as the King of England’s sovereign grant has seen a significant increase. And of course, a lot of anti-royalists want to know why.

One British politician by the name of Rachel Reeves is facing calls to bring in massive cuts for the royal family’s public funding.

No one should be surprised over the timing as Keir Starmer’s anti-corruption bosses are also calling for transparency of finances on their end, too.

Clearly, many royalists on both sides of the pond had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “What exactly do they do? Sure, they do charity work, but so do many of us. Cutting ribbons, waving, and having extravagant weddings, are those really worth the millions of pounds they’re paid by British taxpayers?”

“Especially now, when so many people are struggling and relying on food banks.”

King Charles Is Feeling The Financial Pressure

Another critic wrote, “There is literally no reason for funding to the BRF to keep increasing, especially as they keep cutting down on their members and as they have independent sources of funding (aka the duchies) and aren’t ever taxed on their wealth or their revenues.”

And then there was this comment as well: “There needs to be an audit. A comprehensive and rigorous audit of the monies taken out of the public coffers to support the luxury lifestyles of these professional moochers.”

“Nationalize royal residences, if you must. But stop paying them ridiculous amounts of money for just existing while also paying for all the maintenance on their homes, staff and vehicles.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
