British Royal Family News – King Charles Is No Stranger To Entrepreneurism
King Charles has a long history of successful business ventures; since 1990, he has been selling a wide range of organic products.
Over the past three decades, his Highgrove Estate has grown to offer a diverse selection of items, including clothing, gifts, and personal care products, all in support of charitable causes.
His latest creation, Highgrove Splash cologne, is now available for purchase online and at the Highgrove store; unfortunately, this exclusive fragrance is currently only available to customers in the U.K.
This new scent is the result of a collaboration with Truefitt & Hill, a prestigious company with strong ties to the royal family.
Described as having a complex blend of delicate top notes of cypress and lemon, combined with hints of lavender, papyrus, and vetiver, this fragrance is truly unique.
British Royal Family News – Bad Timing?
The recent release of the king’s latest fragrance has sparked discussions among royal experts who are drawing parallels with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
In March 2024, Meghan introduced her own lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard; while some argue that Charles is taking cues from Meghan, others believe it’s the other way around.
Despite the absence of products on her company website for purchase, rumors suggest that Meghan has already shared some items privately and is considering expanding into the wine industry.
Royal broadcaster Helena Chard stated, “I don’t see any similarities between Highgrove Splash and Meghan Markle’s new collection, they are quite distinct. However, I’m certain this will serve as inspiration for her moving forward.”
British Royal Family News – King Charles Has Been A Scent Lover A Long Time
Some people may have been surprised by King Charles’ recent product endorsement, but a closer examination of his background shows a clear link.
Two years ago, Charles played a key role in creating Highgrove Bouquet; this perfume is priced at £175, which is £40 more than the Highgrove Splash cologne.
Highgrove Bouquet was designed with local flowers in mind, and it specifically features the property’s weeping silver lime trees.
Although Charles sought the help of seasoned fragrance makers for these projects, the king is said to possess certain qualities that are beneficial to the process.
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, reveals in his memoir “Spare” that Charles has a keen sense of smell. “He was constantly sniffing things – food, roses, even our hair,” Harry shared.
British Royal Family News – Photographic Evidence Supports Harry’s Claim
The evidence in photographs clearly supports Harry’s claim, as they depict Charles enjoying the scents of soil, cheese, alcoholic beverages, and flowers. It is also known that Charles himself is a fan of wearing scents.
Despite this, the royal family has a peculiar tradition of avoiding the word “perfume” when discussing such products. Over the years, Charles has been associated with various brands, including Guerlain Vetiver and Penhaligon’s Blenheim Bouquet.
While Harry argues that Charles goes overboard with cologne, the Highgrove website provides tips for using the Highgrove Bouquet more sparingly.
