It looks like the royal family is set to make a lot of changes in the coming months or even weeks ahead. That’s because there’s a new report that says King Charles has been hospitalized amid his ongoing battle with cancer.

And while Buckingham Palace is yet to state what kind of cancer the King Of England has been diagnosed with, it’s gotten bad enough that he’s canceled all of his future royal engagements and public appearances until further notice.

A statement from the palace reads: “Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, The King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital. His Majesty’s afternoon engagements were therefore postponed.”

The statement also said, “His Majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”

What’s Next For King Charles?

King Charles first announced that he was diagnosed with cancer back in January 2024, but that didn’t stop him from doing his work. In fact, he’s taken on just as many royal engagements as other members of the family and has continued to do so this entire time.

Now, just how serious this is, no one really knows, but it’s enough for royal fans to be worried about King Charles’s health and what might happen next for the royal family.

Of course, his son Prince William would become the next king, but whether or not he is actually prepared for the job no one really knows.

But then again, the palace isn’t very good about giving out details, especially if they are unsure about the situation themselves. But with the way things are going, no one would be surprised if King Charles ended up abdicating the throne. 

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet. We will update you with all of the latest details the moment they come in. Watch this space for more.
