An inside source told The Times that Charles has “high standards of public service and genuinely feels he’s letting people and organisations down if he’s not out there doing all those public bits of his formal role.”

A second source stated that Charles feels like a “bloody caged lion” while a third suggested that Prince William is concerned about Charles’ eagerness to get back to work and wants to make sure that he is “balancing his recovery.”

It’s been disclosed that Charles has taken on more than 200 new patronages that were the domain of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth.

One royal expert sees a silver lining in the news that Prince Harry has been granted a meeting with his father during his UK visit next week for an Invictus Games event.

According to Richard Fitzwilliams the visit between Harry and Charles could signal a reconciliation with his brother Prince William.

But, most notably Harry’s wife Meghan Markle and their kids Lilibet and Archie will not join Harry across the pond. Fitzwilliams suggests that Harry must rebuild his family’s trust in him after the Markles’ scorched earth tirades against his family and the monarchy.

Fitzwilliams said of the father-son reunion: “I’m not surprised. It is naturally a normal thing for a son to want to do.”

As for the siblings, it might take a lot more than nostalgia for Prince William to be willing to bury the hatchet that Harry and Meghan have used to attack his wife Princess Catherine.
