King Charles Is Refusing To Slow Down

He’s not slowing down anytime soon. Of course, we are talking about King Charles as he is insisting on taking on as many royal engagements as he can despite the rapid decline in his health.

As many of our readers already know, King Charles was hospitalized in March due to complications stemming from his ongoing treatment of his cancer. As of press time, Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about what cancer the king has been diagnosed with.

That said, King Charles won’t stop down, despite his medical warnings. However, one specialist by the name of Dr. Mohammed Enayat says that overworking could negatively impact King Charles’s cancer recovery.

But even with that said, King Charles has always put duty first. Even though he’s being forced to take it easy, he knows that it’s his duty as the King of England to serve the monarchy and the nation and that’s why he’s refusing to give up.

In a new interview, Dr. Mohammed put it this way, “Societal expectations can cause us to become workaholics, with high achievers and public figures conditioned to equate their value with productivity, making it difficult to prioritise rest, even when faced with health concerns.”

“Research has shown that those who struggle to detach from work experience higher levels of anxiety and sleep disturbances, both of which can negatively impact long term health.”

The expert continued, “For many, overworking is a way of proving their worth, to themselves and to the critics or doubters in their past. It’s less about ambition and more about soothing an inner discomfort.”

Now, whether or not King Charles will be able to continue managing his royal engagements and public appearances remains to be seen.
