It looks like he wants to be the first to break the ice. Of course, we are talking about King Charles as there’s a new report that suggests he is willing to finally make amends with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

King Charles’s Move Shocks Harry And Meghan

That’s because he wants to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to stay with him at Highgrove over the summer.

Apparently, King Charles thinks this will be a perfect opportunity to see Harry, Meghan, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, and especially if relations continue to thaw between them.

After all, the Sussexes will be in Birmingham this summer to help celebrate the one year countdown to the Invictus Games, which will be held in the city in 2027.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “‘It seems likely that this will happen. Meghan’s been to the equivalent countdown events elsewhere so it would look strange if she didn’t attend the Birmingham one.”

“There’s a good chance that they will stay at a royal residence during a UK stay that includes Invictus events if the current thaw in family relations continues.”

Not only that, but it seems like there’s speculation also suggesting that Prince Harry wants his father to be there with him for the Invictus countdown celebrations, too. It would show the world that yes, they’ve finally managed to put their longstanding feud behind them.

The insider added, “I don’t believe Harry has asked his father to open the Invictus Games in Birmingham yet but it seems likely he will and it will be difficult for the King to refuse.”

Now, whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will accept the King of England’s invitation and meet him at Highgrove this summer remains to be seen.

After all, Meghan herself has made it pretty clear that she wants nothing to do with the royal family and that she never wants to step foot in the UK again if she doesn’t have to.
