It looks like the end might really be near for this monarch and maybe even the monarchy, too. That’s because there’s heavy speculation suggesting that King Charles might only have a few months to live.

In other words, palace staffers are worried that they are going to have to make some big changes sooner rather than later as Prince William will be made the next king of England after King Charles’s death.

Of course, none of this will be easy. The King of England has been struggling with his cancer diagnosis since early 2024 and while he’s been able to keep up with his royal engagements and public appearances, it has been getting tough on him with each passing day.

And that’s not because the cancer has weighed him down, but it’s also because of all the other stressful situations that he’s been having to deal with on a daily basis. Most notably, the Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein scandal has certainly been keeping the King of England up at night.

That said, there were previous reports suggesting King Charles was going to abdicate in 2027. Per Rob Schuter’s latest Substack, he says that for King Charles, it’s all about timing.

He doesn’t want to make an announcement right now because he knows the optics would look bad, seeing how Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s names are in the headlines because of the DOJ’s investigation into Epstein.

King Charles Wanted To Abdicate From The Throne

One source close to the situation even said, “The transition will look measured and dignified. Health provides the most unassailable explanation.”

“Charles will not be seen as pushed. He has waited a lifetime for this role. When he steps back, it will be entirely on his terms.”

But now it looks like that’s going to be unnecessary, and especially if these rumors turn out to be true.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
