King Charles Shares Royal Family’s New Titles
The past three months has seen King Charles focusing on transforming the royal family. And the King has sought to make an impact on both the present and the future of his royal relatives. As a result, the monarch shared new titles for Kate Middleton, Prince William and Queen Consort Camilla Parker-Bowles, according to Page Six.
However, King Charles also announced the date for celebrating his birthday, called the Trooping the Colors. But fans of popular royal couple Kate and William seemed particularly eager to learn their new titles. And Charles named Kate the new honorary Colonel of the Irish Guard.
Because William previously held that title, Charles also gave his son a new role. And William has become Colonel of the Welsh Guards. However, King Charles did not neglect Queen Consort Camilla. And she will serve as the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. That change reflects how Charles views Prince Andrew, since the disgraced royal previously held that position.
Palace Announces Trooping The Colors Date
However, King Charles also chose a new date for the annual Trooping The Colors. And the Palace announced that the event will take place on June 17, 2023. Some may not understand the reasoning, given that Charles celebrates his birthday in November. But insiders think that the King decided to follow his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, in determining the date of the parade.
By establishing the Trooping The Colors as a warm weather event, both participants and onlookers can enjoy the parade more. And to celebrate the armed forces, the parade will feature more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians. However, Buckingham Palace shared that some members of the royal family will take part in the parade. And they will ride horseback as onlookers cheer. The parade will begin only six weeks after Charles’ coronation day.
And the entire royal family looks forward to the coronation activities. However, insiders have hinted that the day could include a somewhat stressful family reunion. Because despite the rifts, the monarch wants to invite his son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle to coronation day. “Harry is his son and His Majesty will always love him,” shared one of the sources. “While things are difficult at the moment, the door will always be left ajar.”
