During his Daily News Headlines vlog on Sunday night, royal commentator Neil Sean talked about the abdication rumours. He said the stories about King Charles stepping aside are just “speculation” and nothing more.
Sean argued the King will never voluntarily give up the throne. He said Charles very much goes “under the moniker of what his late mother, Queen Elizabeth did. It’s a job for life to the very end.”

Next, Sean reminded viewers that the late Queen’s funeral plans were ready years in advance. In his experience, the palace knows what it’s doing. So, the headlines about abdication just upset the family.
Sean also pointed to Prince William and Catherine. He said “nobody wants” them to ascend the throne anytime soon.
In his opinion, that’s because they’d like to see the couple enjoy their life right now. Plus, he drew an analogy to Queen Elizabeth, reminding folks she never got the chance for that.

Well, Sean called Andrew a “buffoon” who can’t “read the room.” But, he said the King would never let his younger brother be the reason he quits.
After all, that might open up a lot of questions as to whether the UK even needs a monarchy.
Dissing The Idea Of Abdication
Overall, Sean believes that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandals won’t force King Charles to dump the throne. Instead, he opined that the only possible reason for Charles to step back would be a health issue.
Despite rumours of ill health, the royal expert doesn’t believe things are all that bad. In fact, he believes that the King is “feeling a lot better than he’s felt in a long time.”
His stamina is strong. So the abdication talk is just a nice headline. There is “no foundation” to it, in his opinion.
As for former Prince Andrew, Sean said that no matter how unpleasant things get, King Charles isn’t likely to throw in the towel over it.
