Lady C is a British Jamaican royal commentator who has written seven unauthorized books about the British royal family, including a New York Times Best Seller.
Around the six minute mark of her video, the controversial aristocrat breaks down a scene of the preview in which Meghan offers her son Archie the chance to use a water hose on the garden. He says “only if you want me to” a response that has divided social media, and for which Lady C expresses her disapproval of the interaction. Here’s what to know.
Lady C Breaks Down Meghan and Archie’s Interaction
First of all, here are some of the YouTube comments to put in perspective Lady C’s reaction. One viewer, @nancyamaral5620 wrote “I was a child protection worker for 25 years in Massachusetts. The short interaction between Meghan and Archie was very concerning.
This child has already learned to tip toe around his mother’s moods” while another, @qichick, referred to the Vanity Fair allegation that Meghan bullied her employees: “If she sends grown men to seek therapy after working for her for a short time, think of how terrifying she is to little children. I hope people ask Child Services to investigate.”
Lady C stated that she has read social media comments about this clip and “several people have brought it up and I have to say it made my blood run cold for that poor child.”

Controversial Opinion on Meghan and Archie
She added that a child doesn’t have to be physically abused to be in terror of an authority figure, something that “is truly dreadful for any child.”
She noted that her observations in the video are based on a conversation with a pediatrician and said that Archie “May be so terrified … and eager to please her … so he will never fall foul of the monster …”
This is not the first time that Lady C has made provocative comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
For instance, she has suggested that Archie and the couple’s daughter Lilibet were carried by surrogates, something the litigious-happy pair has never refuted.

This controversial idea is common on social media where posters note that royals not “born of the body” are not in the line of succession and wonder why the palace has not addressed this firestorm.
Lady C also started a GoFundMe for Thomas Markle, the ailing father that Meghan has spurned.
What Was Said About Archie and Meghan and the Water Hose?
Here are some other comments from Lady C’s video: @donnavarapodio4192 wrote of Meghan “If she were really pregnant, she would be suing everyone who said she used a surrogate. The truth would be brought out in court & she doesn’t want that. Hence, the silence.”
@Ceba-pw8hk wrote “Hand a running hose to a 5 year old and you get laughing, giggling, and water going everywhere. That poor child sounds like he’s fearful and tentative” while @leetavares9482
Posted “Dear Lady C, I suffer from a lifetime of mental difficulties from my scary childhood. My heart was in my throat hearing Archie’s words about watering the garden. Mommie Dearest .”

As a mother of four, grandmother of two – the thought of a child carefully checking that it is ok to play with the hose is amazing. My four year old granddaughter turns on the hose without asking – no lack of confidence there!
I thought nothing of my children playing with the hose as our summers are extremely hot. So yes, Archie’s cautious ‘checkin’ is concerning to me.
