Meghan Markle has claimed she had nothing to do with her finger-pointing bio Finding Freedom but lawyers say otherwise.
Lawyers involved in one of her lawsuits maintain that Meghan collaborated with the authors of Finding Freedom which is a far cry from her insistence that she had nothing to do with the heavily biased book about her life and times to this point.
It’s one thing to have the court of public opinion against you, but when lawyers make claims, it’s an entirely different ballgame and the word perjury comes to mind.
The Latest Hearing About Meghan’s Lawsuit Against The Publisher Of The Mail On Sunday
Meghan is suing Associated Newspapers for publishing a part of a letter she sent to her estranged father Thomas Markle in August 2018.
She says that the letter held her, “deepest and most private thoughts and feelings,” and that its publication breached the Data Protection Act.
At a hearing in London on Monday, the publisher asked permission to amend its written defense to Meghan’s claim so as to argue that she, “co-operated with the authors of the recently published book ‘Finding Freedom’ to put out their version of certain events.”
The lawyers assert that her cooperation with the book actually reflects the way in which her five friends spilled dirt to People with her permission regarding the letter in question. In other words, they are saying that there is a pattern of conduct on Meghan’s part and they want that to be part of the record.

Meghan Denies That She Helped With The Book Finding Freedom But Lawyers Say Otherwise
On the other hand, Meghan’s lawyers deny that she fed authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand inside tidbits for their book which dropped in August. Not so fast many have said in response, as much of the book is so detailed and intimate that the info could only have come from her or Prince Harry.
Her lawyer Justin Rushbrooke has said, “The claimant and her husband did not collaborate with the authors on the book, nor were they interviewed for it, nor did they provide photographs to the authors for the book.”
He also said, the authors, “were not given the impression that the claimant wanted the contents of the letter to be reproduced in the book.”
Rushbrooke is Meghan’s newest lawyer after she dropped her previous mouthpiece, David Sherborne. Maybe he shouldn’t get too comfortable representing his client?
He will have to contend with the opposing side’s contention that Finding Freedom gave, “every appearance of having been written with their (Meghan and Harry’s) extensive co-operation.”
