Little Prince Louis became the most talked-about royal last week as Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee came to a close and now the public might really know what Kate Middleton said to her youngest son.
Prince Louis Acted Like He’s Four
As royals and others sat in the stands outside Buckingham Palace to watch the final Jubilee Pageant, Prince Louis seemed restless and not very happy with his mother at all, putting his hand over her face and then sticking his tongue out at her.
The video of this moment went viral as the world judged Kate’s parenting style and wondered why her four-year-old who had sat through four days of these festivities was so misbehaved. Others wondered why she didn’t discipline the boy on the spot, which would have made for even more viral videos as the world watched.
Now, a lip reader thinks he knows what Kate said to her little boy as he became exasperated with sitting for so long.
Kate Did Her Best To Quell The Louis Mess
One of the first things Kate Middleton said to Prince Louis, according to The Sun, when he started acting up during the end moments of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee was “You have to” and Louis responded with “I don’t want to,” before that moment when he put his hands over his mother’s mouth as if he didn’t want to hear her. Chances are he didn’t want to sit still through this pageant anymore as most four-year-old children would be restless and exasperated at this point.

Kate tried to distract the boy by telling him to look at all the fun parade sights around him, but he didn’t seem interested at all. She also told the boy to “stop” and to “behave” himself. That makes her sound like any other mother in this situation where she wants her and her children to make the best impression, but if she makes any ruckus about that, she is blamed for being a bad mother.
Despite Louis’ protests about sitting still and being good for just a little bit more, he did give Kate a big hug during the pageant and later made it onto the balcony at Buckingham Palace with his parents and siblings so the Queen could make a surprise appearance and close out the Jubilee just right. He did look a little tired, but Louis did as he was told.
