A lot has happened for Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever this 2026. While most of the things that have happened cannot be considered good news, the Duchess is still at the frontlines pushing her business with the help of her growing Instagram account.
However, following Martha Stewart’s comment on the brand, fans are convinced that it’s only a matter of time before Meghan’s lifestyle brand reaches the end of the rope. But what did Martha Stewart say exactly?
Martha Stewart Speaks Candidly About Meghan Markle’s As Ever In New Interview
As a long-time lifestyle guru, Martha Stewart is basically considered the Queen of the wellness industry these days. At 85, she has somehow managed to keep looking as fit as a fiddle, and her cookbooks are nothing to joke about.
Her preserved appearance has led fans to make speculations as to whether the cookbook author is keeping to her advertised healthy living – fans swear she’s gone under the knife, Stewart insists she has not.
Nevertheless, whenever you want to talk about the Queens of the wellness industry, Martha Stewart’s name is always going to be right there at the top.
In fact, if you ‘ready, 1,2,3, set, go’ a friend to name three wellness influencers, they might end up naming Martha Stewart even before Pamela Anderson and Gwyneth Paltrow or those of the younger generation.
So when Stewart gives her judgement on anything relating to lifestyle and wellness, it tends to carry weight. And Meghan’s brand As Ever is finding itself crushed underneath that weight.
Personally, I don’t think there was much that Stewart said about the brand, even though PEOPLE posed the question to her directly. I don’t even think she understands the whole concept of the brand, or what As Ever does exactly.
What she seems to have an idea of is about the founder of the brand, Meghan, and the way she’s doing so many things at once that it’s making her brand seem chaotic.
“If you’re an actress, it’s hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show,” Stewart said, before offering her advice by adding, “It doesn’t sort of follow. So go from there.”
Really, all I think she’s saying is that Meghan needs to stick with one thing long enough to truly be able to connect to the audience in that space.
