Meghan Markle Accused Of Being FAKE In Her Promotion of Female Founders

Prior to marrying into the Royal Family, and even after the marriage, Meghan Markle has always made it clear that causes that promote female interests and foster female growth have always been close to her heart.

Perhaps as an extension of this deeply held passion, the Duchess has started a podcast where she interviews only female founders from all races and walks of life.

However, is the way she’s approaching feminism making the most impact on the society, or is she only involved in causes that will help in growing her own personal interests? A royal expert weighs in.

Meghan Markle Deemed “Too Vacuous” In Her Promotion of Female Interests

On January 1, 2025, Meghan Markle made her first official return to Instagram in years with a short video celebrating the New Year. So far, she’s used the account to promote her brands, sell clothes, and give fans tidbits of her life as a mother and a wife.

While she may no longer be a working royal, Meghan Markle still has a few charities under belt that she promotes from time to time. However, royal experts believe they have no real impact in the real world.

Broadcaster Esther Krakue and News.com.au’s Royal Reporter Bronte Coy weighed in on the Duchess’ recent initiatives on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show.

Coy said: “[She’s a] professional hot girl. She’s a content creator slash influencer now, I would say. And there’s nothing wrong with those things. But the influencer part, she’s selling the stuff on Instagram.”

Krakue agreed, adding: “I mean, I find it strange that she didn’t quite lean into the things that she has professional credits for, like she didn’t do some theatre charity or things? I just wish she did things that are less vacuous.”

Krakue continued by stating that it would be nice if Meghan decided to focus on topics she’s familiar with, like theater and arts, and promote “women in a realistic way, not this kind of very glossy sheen.”
