Is she really that far stuck in the past? That’s what a lot of royal fans and critics alike can’t help but wonder when it comes to Meghan Markle. That’s because she’s been accused of being very out of touch when it comes to her Instagram account.

In fact, some people are even calling it very ‘Millenial’ and mid-2010s, if that makes sense. Her critics think that she’s still stuck in her Pinterest era and that’s not a good thing when everyone is sharing picture dumps while she’s still oversaturating her photos with the most intense filter she can find.

One source close to the situation even put it this way for Vogue, “Her haters might call her presence cringey. Her stans might call it endearing. But no matter where you fall on that Markle spectrum, you can’t deny its disarming.”

“It’s hard to have strong, angry feelings about a woman who posts cheesy quotes about Nutella, awkwardly dances in a hospital room, or posts captions about her children that says ‘love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.’”

In other words, it’s not like her haters are truly hating this but instead just seem to feel sorry for her that she’s stuck in a different time.

What’s Next For Meghan Markle’s Instagram?

Now, whether or not Meghan is actually going to take the advice of her critics and change things around on her social media accounts remains to be seen. That, or she might just be trying to bring back the Pinterest-era of posting, if that makes any sense.

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the criticism she’s received although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
