Well, you certainly can’t blame her for wanting to be on the Queen of England’s good side, especially when she ended up on everyone else’s bad side during her time in the UK.

There’s a new report that suggests Meghan Markle might have “buttered up” to Queen Elizabeth in the hopes that she would be in her good graces. And to a certain point, it did work. Keep reading below forevertying you need to know.

According to a new report, the Duchess of Sussex managed to be charming enough that Queen Elizabeth actually liked her even though other royals like Prince William and Kate Middleton couldn’t stand her behind closed doors.

Meghan could sleep easily at night knowing that she had at least one ally in the queen.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward put it this way, “I was so surprised when I heard the Queen liked Meghan but she did. Meghan’s a smart lady whatever people think of her. She knew exactly how to butter up the Queen. Even Harry gave us a little glimpse of it by the dogs.”

Royal Family News – Meghan Put On The Charm In Front Of Queen Elizabeth

But then again, the feeling was mutual on both the queen and Meghan’s sides as the former Hollywood actress had nothing but incredibly positive things to say about Prince Harry’s beloved grandmother.

Meghan once said, “It’s incredible, I think, you know, to be able to meet her through [Harry’s] lens, not just with this honour and respect for her as the monarch, but the love that he has for her as his grandmother. All of those layers have been so important for me so that when I met her I had such a deep understanding and of course incredible respect for being able to have that time with her. And we’ve had a really – she’s – she’s an incredible woman.

So far the Duchess of Sussex herself has not made any comments about the matter.
