Meghan Markle Allegedly Upstaged By Prince William’s TV Move

Meghan Markle allegedly feels “less than pleased,” after Prince William made a well-received move recently. Read on to find out what happened and what a royal commentator thinks about it.

William’s Well-Received Move

If you watch Dancing with the Stars, you will already know that Prince William made a virtual visit to speak with fan-favorite competitor, Robert Irwin. Well, it seems that’s the issue of contention. In fact, royal commentator Neil Sean dedicated a whole Daily News Headlines vlog to it on YouTube on Wednesday night.

The royal family expert, who relies heavily on sources and his own opinions, alleged that just as Meghan Markle was attempting to promote her new Netflix project, the Prince of Wales “popped up” on Dancing with the Stars.

William’s video message was supposedly a gesture of kindness for missing the Earthshot awards. However, Sean opined that its effect was far more strategic. In fact, he felt it was a tit-for-tat thing, “beautifully executed” to grab the media’s attention right when Meghan needed positive press.

Frustrating For Meghan Who Is Outclassed?

The timing, in Sean’s opinion, might be a frustrating occurrence for the Duchess. Sean reminded viewers that when Meghan first joined the monarchy, she “felt that she knew” more than her advisors.

Actually, he pointed out that she allegedly believed she knew the basics of publicity. Well, Sean opined that Meghan Markle certainly “knew exactly how to get headlines.” But notably, she allegedly dismissed any guidance. Clearly, William didn’t do that.

Reflecting on William and Meghan, Sean found it a little but strange that “each and every time that Megan seems to want to try and relaunch herself,” a new problem emerges. In his opinion, her “biggest problem” is now none other than Prince William.

Titles & Other Things

His analysis seemed a big downer on Meghan’s publicity efforts, which he described as a “lackluster affair.”  Sarcastically, he wondered if Netflix might have better titled her series “The Final Frontier.” Plus, he alleged that the platform “can’t wait to get shot of this dud of a series.”

As he often does, Sean also talked about Prince Harry’s wife insisting on using her Duchess of Sussex title. So, he reminded viewers that Meghan previously told Oprah Winfrey that “titles mean nothing.”

But, Sean claimed that “she does like that title,” adding, “Oh, she loves that title.” In his assessment, the Duchess title is “the only thing that you’ve really got left.”

One-Sided Rivalry

Overall, Sean’s commentary described a one-sided rivalry. He portrayed Prince William’s actions as simple humanitarian gestures. And, he couldn’t help but notice that his actions seem to pull the media spotlight away from Meghan’s commercial ventures.

He opined that for a woman who once believed she held the “bigger power” in publicity, it must generate a lot of professional frustration for Meghan Markle.

Viewers React 

Neil Sean’s followers from both sides of the ditch don’t seem to have much time for Meghan or Prince Harry. So, the comments section filled up fast. One of them opined, “William has more kindness and dignity in his little finger, than Meghan has in her entire body.”
