As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that says the Duchess of Sussex reportedly snubbed the Queen’s doctors for her birth, simply because she doesn’t want “men in suits” delivering her baby. Meghan and her husband Prince Harry are currently expecting their first child together.
According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex has appointed her own delivery team, which will be led by a female doctor. Yet, royal protocol states that the Queen’s doctors cannot be excluded from the birth, which means that they will have to be at the hospital in one way or another.
Meghan Has No Interest Including Royal Doctors At The Birth Of Her Child
However, reports say that Meghan has no interest in including Royal Household doctors Alan Farthing and Guy Thorpe-Beeston when she gives birth to her first baby next month.
“Meghan said she doesn’t want the men in suits. She was adamant that she wanted her own people. It did leave a few of us a little baffled. It is slightly surprising,” one source told The Daily Mail.
“These people [the Queen’s doctors] are the best of the best and when it comes down to it, their role would actually be very limited in the birth itself, assuming all goes to plan.”
Meghan Wants To Welcome Their Child At A Hospital Near Their Home
If that weren’t enough, Meghan also won’t give birth at the same hospital that her sister-in-law Kate Middleton gave birth to with her three children.
It is more likely that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will welcome their child at a hospital near their new home in Frogmore Cottage at Windsor. Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their children at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the report. And as always, don’t forget to check back with Celebrating the Soaps for all the latest news and updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and the rest of the royal family right here!

It is beyond the pale that this very personal decision by Meghan is even up for public discussion. It is her body, her birthing event, her comfort, and her privacy that are at stake here. The baby will be seventh in line for the throne, not exactly the heir. If Meghan has chosen her own team of doctors and a hospital near her new home, that’s her prerogative, and it’s no one’s business but hers and Harry’s. They should be left alone by the media and the public to experience this very important and joyful time in their life together.
