Gwyneth Paltrow became famous first for her acting. But then Paltrow turned her Goop wellness brand into a highly profitable success.
And now rumors have soared that Meghan Markle plans to follow Gwyneth’s lead. Keep reading to learn how the former Suits actress could compete with Paltrow by creating her own wellness brand, including her holistic diet and fitness program.
Meghan Markle – Uses Holistic Diet And Fitness Plan
Gwyneth Paltrow famously touts her holistic diet and fitness plan as part of her Goop wellness brand. And rumors have soared that Meghan Markle plans to create a similar brand, based on her Tig blog.
But for those who want to try a sample of Meghan’s holistic lifestyle, her archived blogs from the Tig offer some clues.
For instance, the Duchess of Sussex likes pumpkin and lentil soup and ginger berry crumble, according to the Express. And Meghan also enjoys açai bowls with fresh fruit, granola, and bee pollen.
However, the Duchess of Sussex tends to rely on plant-based meals. But she does sometimes eat an occasional fish taco. And Meghan even indulges in sushi occasionally.
And for fitness, Meghan enjoys hot yoga. But she also works out by going on weighted hikes. However, following her plan may come with some challenges. For instance, rather than a cup of coffee or cappuccino for breakfast, the Duchess of Sussex believes in sipping warm water with lemon.
Meghan Markle – Hangs Out With Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth and Meghan began spending time together during the summer. And the Duchess of Sussex befriended Paltrow amid her plan to create her own wellness brand, reported the News.
Royal expert Tessa Dunlop revealed that the former Suits actress wants Gwyneth to become one of her inner circle because of Paltrow’s success with her Goop wellness brand. And Meghan believes that she can profit from that friendship. However, that could turn into a competition if the Duchess of Sussex positions her wellness brand in the same niche as Gwyneth’s Goop.
“Meghan’s been hanging out with Gwyneth Paltrow,” said Dunlop. “And she’s shifted from acting into this broader wellness area. There’s speculation about a possible revamp of Instagram, about Meghan being a brand sponsor for wellness products perhaps.”
And that friendship comes amid rumors that the Duchess of Sussex will do a relaunch of her former lifestyle blog, The Tig. Meghan began that blog in 2014, closing it three years later. But recently, Meghan applied to trademark the blog. And the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office followed through.
As for how much the Duchess of Sussex could make and the steps she might take? Gwyneth actually started Goop as a simple newsletter. And then came the website, selling Paltrow-approved products ranging from vitamins to fashion. Goop’s $250 million valuation reflects the brand’s growth, according to Money.
