British royal family news reveals that it may be too little, too late to get Piers Morgan rehired, but one of Harry and Meghan’s outrageous claims has been thoroughly discredited.
Meghan claimed during the bombastic Oprah Winfrey interview that they wed in secret but her own marriage certificate proves otherwise.
According to Meghan Thee Duchess no less than the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, married her and Hollyweird Harry three days before their wedding. Wrong!
Royal Family News – Meghan Markle Claimed A Falsehood
There was quite an uproar following her outlandish claim and now the General Register Office has exposed the truth via the couple’s wedding certificate. What does it say?
The document proves that the couple did not marry three days before their opulent, taxpayer funded wedding. The thirsty and apparently “misinformed” got married on May 19, 2018 in an over the top ceremony at Windsor Castle.
In the kindest understatement of the year, the official who wrote up the license says Meghan is “obviously confused” and “clearly misinformed” about when and where she actually married her second husband.
Royal Family News – Meghan Markle Did Not Tell The Truth About Her Wedding
Stephen Borton, was a chief clerk at the Faculty Office and he told The Sun of the pair, “They did not marry three days earlier in front of the Archbishop of Canterbury.”
“The Special License I helped draw up enabled them to marry at St George’s Chapel in Windsor and what happened there on 19 May 2018 and was seen by millions around the world was the official wedding as recognized by the Church of England and the law.”
“What I suspect they did was exchange some simple vows they had perhaps written themselves, and which is fashionable, and said that in front of the Archbishop — or, and more likely, it was a simple rehearsal.”
Royal Family News – Oprah Winfrey Was Told A Nontruth
Dramatic former actress Meghan told Oprah on the show, “You know, three days before our wedding, we got married. No one knows that.”
She gushed that the couple asked the Archbishop to marry them in private at Nottingham Cottage but now her falsehood has been thoroughly discredited by Borton who said they couldn’t have gotten married in the grounds of Nottingham Cottage as it is not an authorized venue. Plus, there were not enough witnesses to make it a valid ceremony.
He added, “In order for them to be married a Special License was drawn up and the wording from Her Majesty the Queen authorizing the wedding and the official venue was recorded.”
