Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Criticized For Her Rebranding

The Duchess of Sussex has announced that she is changing the name of her lifestyle brand from American Riviera Orchard to the much simpler, As Ever. 

Now, as far as why Meghan decided to suddenly change the name, she said on Instagram, “It’s my neighbourhood, it’s a nickname for Santa Barbara, but it limited me to things that were just manufactured and grown in this area.”

However, she did not mention her trademark issues that she’s encountered in the past year. It goes without saying that the internet certainly has had a lot to say about the matter. 

Some have even commented with, “Her desperation to stay relevant is getting sadder by the day. She’s a professional actress, so why not return to doing that. At least it’s a respectful trade, and she might stop coming across as so reliant on being the Royal Family desperate connection.”

Another critic wrote, “Rebrand after rebrand and now shes bringing out her kids to get attention.”

“As ever, who would have known, a wannabee Actor actively seeking a walk-on spot because her Spare Agent is otherwise Engaged in those Invictus Games.”

And then there was this comment: “Meghan (and Harry) have totally outplayed the RF, the toxic tabloid media and the derangers. Knowing their adversaries, the Sussexes have used ARO as a ruse to deflect these againsters.”

“Remember, this has been in place for several years. Netflix has voted with their feet by going into a business partnership. This is just the beginning and the howl from the chattering classes warms the hearts of fans everywhere.”
