Ahead of this wonderful New Year we just entered, Celia Rivenbark offered the Sussexes some sound advice. If they hate the limelight, they can do well to stay out of it and stop creating needless drama. You’d think that three years after they left their posts as senior royals, they’d have found a calling and moved on, but no, memoirs are still being threatened. The end game? The royal family will always be dragged into it.
Can Harry and wifey just make a new year resolution that involves not trashing their family publicly, because, if we’re being honest, that’s a pretty stupid way to earn money.
Celia Rivenbark – Claims the Monarchy Brought Meghan Markle Too Much Fame and Attention
A 41-year-old former actress and a 38-year-old former working member of the BRF walk into a room and start complaining about their lot in life and how they’re the victims of every story that doesn’t cast them in a good light. Ugh!
Writing on Meghan’s relationship with the press and why she can’t accept any negative coverage by the press, Rivenbark wrote: “Maybe Meghan thought she knew how to handle fame. After all, seven seasons on USA’s “Suits” should’ve given her some idea of what it’s like to be famous, although not on the same scale of course.”
Continuing on, she added: “Meghan was the kind of actress who would cheerfully sign an autograph for a fan while she was standing at the hot bar at the Sherman Oaks Whole Foods. Or so I like to imagine. Meghan strikes me as the kind of actress you would see in something and ask your partner, “Where do we know her from?” and neither of you would quite be able to place her. (“No, that’s not it. Wait. Nah, that’s not it…”) But this royalty business is next level fame after skipping over, like, another 50 levels. Remember: hot bar.”
With the increased fame came improved scrutiny and Meghan Markle just couldn’t live with the fact that she isn’t the star of every headline.
To build the life they wanted, she and her husband Prince Harry decided to split from the Royal Family and move an ocean away. No one can blame them for leaving poor “tiny” Frogmore Cottage behind.
However, now well away from the RF, they still can’t sign deals without promising to dish on the Royal Family. And this is probably why they keep running back to it during every major occasion. Will we see them at King Charles’ grand coronation in May? It’ll be a shame if we did.
