Meghan Markle has become known for loving her title Duchess Of Sussex. And she uses it whenever she can. But a video that went viral highlighted how Meghan’s “egotistical” nature shows in her title obsession.

Meghan Markle Called ‘Egotistical’ For Viral Video

A royal family video quickly went viral for what it revealed about Meghan Markle. And the Duchess of Sussex sparked a backlash for pointedly using her royal title in a speech addressed to children and parents, noted Newsweek.

The video showed Meghan introducing herself as “Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.” And a montage compared that to how other royal family members avoid using their titles in speeches. For instance, Prince William, the Prince of Wales , stated simply, “My name’s William.” And Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, shared, “I’m Catherine and this is William next to me.”

As a result, the creator of the viral video used the caption “The egotistical one bigging herself up” to refer to Meghan insisting on using her title. The video clip comes from the Duchess of Sussex reading her children’s book. And she says, “I am Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and today I am going to read you my book called The Bench.”

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex and hubby Prince Harry discussed the challenges in bringing up children in the digital age. Meghan and Harry spoke at a World Mental Health Day event for a summit, Mental Wellness in a Digital Age, reported Page Six.

Today show co-host Carson Daly moderated the discussion. And he asked Meghan to describe how her thoughts on the topic changed as both a “kick-a*s woman, but as a mom.” And the Duchess of Sussex used the opportunity to declare her priorities. 

“Being a mom is the most important thing in my entire life — outside, of course, being a wife to this one,” said Meghan, pointing at Harry to show what she meant by referring to “this one.” And she added, “But I will say I feel fortunate that our children are at an age, again quite young, so this isn’t in our immediate future.”

However, the Duchess of Sussex admitted she worried about the future. “But I also feel frightened at how it’s continuing to change. And this will be in front of us,” she noted. “They say being a parent, the days are long but the years are short. So it worries me. But I’m also given a lot of hope and energy by the progress we’ve made in the past year.”
