After all, the only life that Prince Harry has ever known was the royal kind, with everything he’s ever done was supposed to help him prepare for a life of service and duty to Queen Elizabeth and the crown. But the moment he fell in love with Meghan Markle, all of that has changed. With that said, here are three missed opportunities that Meghan Markle had to learn about royal marriage from her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
#1 Being A Royal Wife Is Now Your Job
The moment that Prince Harry married Meghan Markle, life as the former Hollywood actress knew it, was gone. Or at least, that’s the way it was supposed to be. But for some reason or another, Meghan just couldn’t accept that things in her life were going to change and that she had to adapt to all of the royal rules and protocols that have been put in place for years, if not centuries, as well. And with any job, Kate Middleton knows that if you don’t do it right, you can risk getting fired.
#2 Your Royal Husband And His Priorities Come First
Even though times have certainly changed these last few decades, some of the things that have been put place by the institution that is the British monarchy haven’t. For Kate Middleton, she knows that her husband Prince William, and his priorities come first. After all, he is the future King of England. In order for their relationship to work, both personally and professionally, the Duchess of Sussex knows that everyone has a specific role to play and that the needs of the royal family come before your own needs.

#3 But Your Voice Will Always Matter
With all of the above said though, Kate Middleton knows that while she might not have a public say in certain things, her voice still matters. While Meghan Markle missed being a vocal as she was before through her different outlets like public speaking engagements and social media networks, she still had an opportunity to say what was on her mind through her appearance, her mannerisms, and her body language.
But that was an opportunity missed for the Duchess of Sussex. For Kate, she knows that her voice will always matter in the one place that is perhaps the most important – with her husband, and behind closed doors.
