But here’s the thing: a lot of royalists believe that the Duchess of Sussex is once again putting out a product that is too expensive for a lot of her fans to afford, and especially in this current economy, too.

Meghan Markle’s anniversary candle is marked at $64 and apparently “smells like sunshine, blue skies, love and laughter.” In other words, it’s supposed to smell just like the day that Harry and Meghan got married at Windsor castle back in 2018.

But here’s the thing: a lot of people are scratching their heads over who would actually want to buy an expensive candle to celebrate someone else’s wedding.

Sure, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are royals, but it’s not like they are as important as the king and queen of England.

Clearly, the internet had a lot to say about the matter. Some even took to social media to write comments such as, “Is it worth $64? Not to me, but clearly there are people to whom it is worth that. A thing is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.”

Is Meghan’s Candle Too Expensive For Her Fans?

Another critic wrote, “And $64 for a 240-gram candle in a (very pretty) ceramic jar is not even that much: Diptyque’s 200-gram candles are $90, Cire Trudon’s 270-gram offerings are $135, and Loewe has 280-gram candles for a breathtaking $290.”

But then there was this comment as well: “No one is forced to buy any products she puts out, they buy them because they want to. I’ve bought all four scents she offers, they smell amazing.”
