As many royal fans and critics on both sides of the pond are aware of by now, Meghan Markle was hoping to be the star of  the show when she fell in love and married Prince Harry. But clearly, that didn’t happen.

After all, it’s Kate Middleton who will always be the center of attention as she’s the one who is poised to be the next queen of England. But that was a fact that the Duchess of Sussex just didn’t feel very comfortable with. 

One royal expert by the name of Ingrid Seward suggests Meghan was in a bit of shock when she was trying to play the part of a princess when she was still part of the royal family but quickly learned that she wasn’t the star of the show but just a cog in the wheel instead.

Seward put it this way, “It was a monumental trip when Harry and Meghan went in 2018, and Meghan announced her pregnancy when she was there. I think the Australians were very flattered by that and she played her part brilliantly. They were young and fresh.”

Royal Family News: What’s Next For The Duchess Of Sussex?

“I think Meghan wasn’t seeing it quite like that. I think she enjoyed the adulation. She enjoyed playing the part of the princess as she saw it.”

“But I also think it was it was a bit of a shock. She was being told what to do. She was being told where to go, and she was being told how to do it. And she wasn’t taking a starring role.”

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful that she would say anything at all.
