Meghan Markle Lands First Hollywood Role Post Megxit – Huge News Announced By Disney Plus
According to new reports, the film follows an elephant family’s “extraordinary 1,000-mile journey across Africa on an adventure that will change their lives.” A new trailer has been released but unfortunately, it doesn’t include any of Meghan’s narration. However, the Disneynature channel made the announcement on their Twitter account on Thursday, staying that the film is indeed narrated by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Disney Plus is also releasing another film called Dolphin Reef, which is narrated by fellow Hollywood actress Natalie Portman.
The news doesn’t come as a surprise for many royal fans as Meghan Markle has made it no secret that she is looking to kick start her acting career again now that she and Prince Harry are no longer members of the British royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex completed their last round of royal duties earlier this month and have since settled into their new lives in Vancouver with their son, Archie Harrison.
So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the gig, but a lot of royal fans are pointing back to the rather cringe-worthy video that leaked of Prince Harry asking former Disney CEO Bob Iger about the possibility of having Meghan work for the company. This was during The Lion King’s red carpet premiere with both Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z present at the red carpet, too.

While the video clip certainly did raise a lot of eyebrows, it looked like whatever Prince Harry had to say definitely worked because his wife is now part of the Disney family.

Now, whether or not this means that Meghan Markle will be working on future Disney projects remains to be seen. For now, it’s safe to say that she has her foot in the door and this might very well be her first step in revitalizing her Hollywood career.
