Meghan Markle Threatens Legal Action To Protect Royal Title?

A royal commentator suggested that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, might sue the Royal Family if Prince William were ever to try to take her title away. Allegedly, it arose after the title-stripping of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Taking Legal Action?

On his YouTube channel, Daily News Headlines on Thursday night, vlogger Neil Sean claimed that Meghan feels “spooked” by the fact that Prince Andrew’s military patronages and use of His Royal Highness titles went away.

Citing an alleged source, Sean claimed that royal action against Sarah Ferguson, more than Prince Andrew, resonated with Prince Harry’s wife. Why? Well, basically because both of them are women who were commoners who married into the royal family.

Allegedly fearful, the Duchess of Sussex already took a stance. Sean alleged, “she is saying that ‘if necessary, we will take the case to court.'” Of course, that would only happen if future King William moves against her. Sean wondered about the wisdom of this by saying Meghan Markle “has no idea whatsoever how things have ever gone within the palace.”

What About Past Statements?

The royal family expert questioned the alleged threat because of her previous public declarations. He pointed out that while talking to Oprah Winfrey, “she made it clear that for her, titles were nothing.” But, Sean is convinced that “since that time, she has not let go of hers as if it were her lifeline in the sea.”

Allegedly, he said, in private she uses the ‘HRH’ to send gifts and she likes it if people call her the Duchess. Well in his opinion, the royal link is still the duo’s number one asset. He opined that titles are the “only selling point that [Harry and Meghan] are left with.”

Sean also brought up the point of Meghan’s supposed inconsistency in naming herself, as she had once said she was just “Megan Sussex” and also showed interest in the “Spencer” name. He believes that what she said in the past would only weaken any legal claim to the title.

The Monarchy Has All The Power

In the end, Sean argued that the monarchy is the one with the power, and “if they really want to and there is a need for it, then it just can be done.”

He ended by asking his audience a very pointed question: if the establishment already disposed of Prince Andrew, shouldn’t the “treacherous things that Harry and Megan have done” be followed by a similar reaction?

The main question he left came right at the end when he concluded by asking who the public thinks would win any sort of court case over titles.
