Find out why the data and experts indicate that Meghan’s tell-all seems likely to flop. And keep reading to learn how her buddy Omid Scobie ties into predictions that a memoir would backfire spectacularly.
Meghan Markle To Pen Memoir With Omid Scobie
The Duchess of Sussex repeatedly has hinted at plants to pen a memoir. And multiple reports indicate that Meghan Markle has teamed up with her writer buddy Omid Scobie to assist her. But that plan could lead to a humiliating disaster.
Because Omid’s recent book Endgame received a flood of publicity, Meghan’s plan to team up with Scobie initially seemed wise. Wrong. And sales figures via the Daily Mail reveal Endgame sold less than 6,500 copies in Britain.
But beyond sales in the UK, the book plummeted on Amazon. And reviewers slammed Omid’s book. For instance, the New York Times mocked the writing as resembling “a press release cooked up by ChatGPT.” But because the book also seemed similar to Prince Harry’s tell-all book Spare, many complained that it seems Omid just keeps re-using the same material that Meghan gives him.

Meghan Markle Stuck With Omid Scobie
And it might seem like dropping her connections with Scobie would solve Meghan’s problems. However, rumors that the Duchess of Sussex told Omid to name Kate Middleton and King Charles as the so-called “royal racists” in his book sparked a backlash.
As a result, if Meghan now drops Omid, experts warn via the Express that means doom for two reasons. First, at this late date, it would imply that the Duchess of Sussex did provide the royal racist details and then turned around and tried to distance herself. And second, distancing herself from Scobie would feed “into the narrative that Meghan ditches people at the drop of a hat,” said royal expert Jack Royston.
But another reason exists why the Duchess of Sussex likely will NOT succeed with her memoir plans. And that reason involves Prince Harry’s shocking new blow with regard to his own tell-all memoir “Spare.”

Prince Harry Faces Shocking News About His Memoir
Titled “Spare” to reflect his own status in the royal family, Prince Harry’s memoir initially received a flood of publicity and sold quickly. But now a new report via the News brands the Duke of Sussex’s book a “financial fail.”
And adding up the price of Harry’s book, number sold, and advances, Harry would need to sell more than twice the number he actually did to pay back his advance. The Duke of Sussex’s book sold 1.2 million hardcover copies.
But in order for the publisher to break even, Harry’s book would need to sell 2.7 million hardcover copies. And with Harry and Meghan juggling a four-book deal, the Duchess and Duke of Sussex may want to team up to turn their talents to fiction. For instance, perhaps a romance featuring a struggling actress who ties the knot with a ginger-haired prince?
