Meghan Markle and Prince Harry happily settled in a California mansion months ago. But the Duchess of Sussex and Duke of Sussex can’t seem to leave behind all the rumors about their exit from the royal family, known as Megxit. And now a new book has fed that ever-hungry gossip mill, with the focus on the infamous tears shed at the bridesmaids-fitting before the wedding. But this version involves MORE tears, combined with tights and toddlers, in a strange re-visiting of the scene. 

In “The Palace Papers,” Tina Brown does an impressively deep dive into the royal family. And no one comes out looking like a saint. But perhaps Meghan Markle comes in for the harshest criticism. Learn more below.

Meghan Markle ‘Obsessing’ About Making Kate Middleton Cry?

Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William reportedly took on the task of welcoming Prince Harry’s new future bride Meghan Markle into the royal family.  As a result, Kate got involved in helping Meghan plan her wedding. But the process turned into a rumored disaster! Among the fall-outs, Markle got blamed for making Middleton cry just days prior to the wedding.

And as Tina Brown’s “The Palace Papers” chronicles, the supposed teary tornado got replayed endlessly, noted Celeb Bitchy. However, this version of the royal family tale also dishes up new details. For instance, royal family followers previously had heard that tears got shed during the dress-fitting for the bridesmaids.

But Tina notes that the original tale repeatedly stated that “Meghan made Kate cry.” And Markle wanted the Palace to correct the rumors. However, the royal family’s refusal caused Meghan to start “obsessing,” claims Brown.

Because of that version, Markle got portrayed as overly aggressive and angry. But then came Meghan’s famous interview with Oprah Winfrey. And that rewriting of the antics blamed Kate for making Meghan cry. Because Markle claimed Middleton even offered an apology note and flowers, rumors flew about who cried and who bullied!

Prepare for a possible panic attack! Because “The Palace Papers” also hints that Meghan Markle wanted the little girls in the bridal party to skip their tights. And the mere mention of such horror caused Kate to go into “a panic attack,” claims Brown. 

But the bridal brouhaha doesn’t end there. For instance, the new book also offers a different reason for Meghan’s and Kate’s battle. And in this version, Kate got “sick of standing around in the heat being bossed around by the not-quite-yet Duchess of Sussex.” However, no word on how it got so hot in a room supposedly designed for bridal fittings. And how did Meghan boss Kate?
