Deluded Duchess – Meghan Says Harry A Grammy ‘Shoo In’
Just how self-assured does Meghan Markle feel? In her world, where the sun, moon and stars revolve around the deluded duchess and her pompous husband Prince Harry, Meghan can predict a Grammy for hubby. And an insider told the Daily Mail that Markle feels confident that the Duke of Sussex will get an award at next year’s Grammy ceremony.
Because of Harry’s memoir audio book, Meghan believes Harry represents a “shoo-in” to take home the Grammy for Best Spoken Word (Best Audiobook, Narration & Storytelling Recording). The proud duchess can even count the ways in which her darling duke deserves the accolade. For instance, Markle feels that Harry ranks at the top of the entertainment world’s most talented narrators.
And Meghan also gushes about the Duke of Sussex’s “soothing voice.” But she goes over the top in listing her third reason for feeling confident that Prince Harry will bring a Grammy to their California mansion. He “even sings on the audio version,” Markle says proudly. Apparently Meghan feels that simply because Harry croons, he deserves a Grammy award regardless of whether his singing rates as magical or mediocre?
Hollywood ‘Loves’ Prince Harry And His ‘Star Power’?!
But when Meghan makes her comparisons, it goes from princely to presidential. And the insider shared that the Duchess of Sussex believes her husband can outdo or equal other Grammy winners. For instance, Markle believes Harry ranks “up there with President Obama, who won the same award a few years back.”
References to Harry singing in the audio book stem from his rendition of a verse of Elton John’s Your Song. Because of the tribute concert for the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, Harry made the decision to sing Elton’s song in his audio book. However, Harry also shared in the memoir that Elton John declined a request to sing Candle In the Wind. He then chose Your Song.
And in the audio book, Harry sings a few verses. For example, the Duke croons, “I hope you don’t mind that I put down in the words how wonderful life is when you’re in the world.” But regardless of Harry’s singing ability, the insider pointed out that Hollywood does seem to adore the Duke of Sussex.
“Hollywood loves him. He’s got the gift of the gab,” shared the source. And the insider praised Harry’s “fun sense of humor. ” However, the source also compared the Duke and Duchess, declaring that Harry wins as “the one with the star power.” And for a preview of what to expect at next year’s Grammy Awards, royal family fans can watch this year’s ceremony on February 5.
