As a result, Harry allegedly wants to steer clear of the actress Kristen Stewart, who starred in that biopic, “Spencer.” Insiders claim that Kristen anticipates an Oscar nomination for her role. But the Duke of Sussex allegedly got so hurt by the biopic that he doesn’t want to attend the Academy Award ceremony.

In contrast to Harry, Meghan Markle feels “desperate to return to the Hollywood scene,” allege the sources. But can her desperation convince the Duke of Sussex? While he feels “pretty appalled” by the biopic, Meghan would love to mingle with her pals at Hollywood’s dazzling Oscars event and ceremony. The couple reportedly got invitations to all the most glamorous parties and gatherings.

However, one insider shared that the biopic hit such a “sour note with Harry” that he wants to stay at home. “[Meghan and Harry] have been invited to all the big events and planned on attending the Oscars too,” shared the source. “But they’d almost certainly come face-to-face with Stewart since she’s a lock for a best actress nomination.”

The biopic about Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, truly hurt the Duke of Sussex, according to the insiders. And while Meghan feels the couple could and should attend, Harry disagrees. Markle “figures they can just ignore Kristen or be briefly polite,” explained one source.

But Prince Harry reportedly can’t go that route. “Harry’s not one to be fake,” shared the insider. “And his nerves are still raw. He’s actually thinking about skipping the Oscars. But Meghan really wants back into the Hollywood scene.”

The film in question earned favorable reviews. But the vision of a 1991 weekend with Princess Diana and Prince Charles touched on many painful aspects of their relationship. That time period, during which rumors soared about the end of their marriage, got re-constructed in the biopic. Fictional aspects included Diana hallucinating and considering suicide.
