Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s production, Cookie Queens, debuted in theaters on Friday, and it seems as if many people can’t wait to see it. The documentary is distributed by Roadside Attractions and fans first saw it premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Executive produced by Harry and Meghan, it’s the first movie released for theaters under the couple’s Archewell Productions brand. What makes it special is that it’s a tribute to her earlier days when the Duchess of Sussex enjoyed Girl Scout activities.

In an interview with People, Meghan Markle shared, “As a former Girl Scout myself…I have a personal affinity for this film.” She also talked about the “pride” she felt because “Archewell Productions… partnered with this award-winning team to… produce this incredibly captivating film.”

The documentary was helmed by Alysa Nahmias, and it focuses on four young Girl Scouts as they get into their annual cookie-selling project. Competition is fierce, folks.

Reporting on the project finally arriving on the big screen, Newsweek highlighted Meghan Markle praising the director’s vision.

They cited Prince Harry’s wife as saying, “Alysa’s creative point of view, the edgy yet humanizing tone and tenor of the directing, and the glimpse behind-the-scenes into such a nostalgic and also modern tradition of Girl Scout Cookie season are absolutely irresistible.”

Many fans have been getting excited about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first theater release. The trailer was shared by RoadsideFlix on YouTube two months ago.
