British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle has been criticized for her endless need to grab at her husband Prince Harry, and hug everyone in sight whether they want to or not.
Huggy and Druggy just dropped a Netflix bomb and as part of the PR Meghan talked to the ultimate boundary crosser, Drew Barrymore.
Here is what one body language expert has to say about the interaction between the clingmeisters.
Meghan Has Met Her Match
Meghan talked to Drew about her cooking show With Love, Meghan, which has been universally panned by critics, social media, and anyone with a Netflix subscription.
The Drew Barrymore Show is known for its host grabbing and launching herself at her guests, so who won out in the tactile wars?
Body language expert Judi James talked to DailyMail.com of the encounter, saying that the diva met her match in Drew. She noted that Meghan “is normally the first one to move in with the hugs to register the warm, spontaneously tactile side that was apparently met with a tsunami of ice water from the royal firm back in the UK.”
Drew Beat Meghan at the Huggy Game
According to James, Meghan, who has been nicknamed “The Claw” met her match in Drew. Yes, the two ladies hugged, but it was an unusual posture for Meghan who chose “a straight, polite, more regal-looking pose here, perhaps mirroring the kind of response she met with from the UK royals when she was busy hugging them.”
Meghan kept her hand in her pocket rather and did not 100 percent reciprocate the love bomb that Drew threw her way.
James added that “Drew clings relentlessly though, curling her arms around Meghan’s waist in a partial koala embrace and tilting her head to nestle against Meghan’s locks.”
Meghan Markle Couldn’t Out-Hug Drew
While Drew’s face radiated “friendship and affection” Meghan presented as being emotionally distant and favoring the camera to her host.
But wait, there’s more! Meghan was so spooked by Drew’s forwardness that at one point she “holds both hands up in front of her body … hands curled into fists in what looks like a subtle barrier ritual.”
James makes it clear that this posture “suggests she is not totally open to any touching or hugging at this point” and “Meghan’s facial expression also suggests some possible unease.”
Eventually the talk turned to Prince Charming and the former Suits star proclaimed “I am married to the funniest, sweetest, most charming … He’s an amazing father. And so, you know, I count my blessings because I have him and also I have a partner who is so supportive of me.”
Harry and Meghan wed in 2018 and now have two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. While on the couch, Meghan also plugged her As Ever brand which has no products for you to buy. Yet.
Tell us royal fans, when they become available, do you plan to buy some of Meghan’s fruit preserves?
