Robert Hardman reports in his biography that an inside source told him that Meghan could not accept help due to her “trust issues.” Another aide, who worked with the failed Sussexes described how the firm tried to assist the former Suits actress.
They said “It was … Sir Clive Alderton … who said that if we could get this right for [Prince] Harry, we’d be creating a blueprint for future younger sons for generations. We seconded people from Clarence House, very expert people, to help them, but the duchess wouldn’t trust them.”
It’s fascinating to see four years on from Megxit that what could have gone spectacularly right failed miserably.
