Meghan Markle Returns To UK? Expert Warns Frosty Reactions

The ongoing fight by Prince Harry for taxpayer-funded armed security continues, and now it seems that Meghan Markle wants to return to the UK for a bit. However, will she be welcomed? Read on to find out more.

Security Could Mean Meghan Visits

At the moment, there’s a lot of talk about the Invictus Games scheduled for Birmingham. Already, rumors run rife that Harry wants his dad, King Charles, to attend and open them. It’s all conjecture for now, but new reports suggest that Meghan Markle might want to go with him.

On Sky News Australia this week, anchor Caroline talked with correspondent Sophie Elsworth about it. Well, as far as she’s concerned, things might not go all that well for Prince Harry’s wife if she does visit the UK.

Very ‘Disliked’

Elaborating, she said that Meghan “is very much disliked by the British here across the UK.” Well, it’s scheduled for next year, but probably if Harry doesn’t get the security he wants, then Meghan Markle won’t go. It’s been four years since her last visit, and in the UK, there are some strong opinions about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Elsworth noted, “If she does return, be assured, I think she will get a very poor reception.” In response, the host, Caroline, agreed that unpopularity dogs Meghan. In Australia, she also seems to not top the lists of fan favorites.

Harry Migh Take Time To Be Accepted

The conversation also turned to Prince Harry ever being accepted back in the UK. After his book, Spare, and subsequent interviews etc., many people feel a lot of resentment. After all, she opined, “The trust between the family has been severely broken.”

Naturally, people wonder if Harry and his dad, King Charles, might reconcile. But even if they do, it’s not clear that the general public would believe it was at all meaningful. Plus, of course, he would also need to make up with his brother, Prince William.

In the comments section, one irritated veiwer opined, “The UK is not her ‘HOME’ therefore there is no homecoming. dont want her here.”
