Meghan Markle Shares Message For Working Mothers

Meghan Markle Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex announced on Thursday that the Archewell Foundation will launch the “National Business Coalition for Child Care” in collaboration with Marshall Plan for Moms charity.

The multi-millionaire Duchess and her husband Prince Harry are asking companies to listen to the needs of their employees, especially as people return to work after the coronavirus pandemic.

The Duchess Of Sussex Speaks Out For “Working” Mothers Everywhere

The Duchess has previously written an open letter to President Joe Biden campaigning for the inclusion of paid leave for all in the government’s agenda.

Meghan, who is passionate about helping women succeed in the workplace, wrote: “Families everywhere, and especially working moms, are asked to shoulder so much.

“This has only been heightened by the pandemic, with increased caregiving responsibilities, rising prices, and economic uncertainty. As it’s been said many times, it takes a village to raise a child.

“Today, we’re sending a message that childcare isn’t just a community imperative—it’s a business imperative. Creating a stronger workforce starts with meeting the needs of families.”

The Marshall Plan for Moms is a movement to empower mothers and help them recover economically. The movement calls for a change in policy that will expand women’s choices and improve equality in the workplace.

According to a new survey report featuring more than 1,000 American parents with children between the ages of 0 to 5, half of women said child care was the reason they left the workforce temporarily, took on fewer hours or took on a less demanding job.

The report called for businesses to stop ignoring child care or labeling it as “women’s issue”.

In other news, Meghan Markle and David Furnish are reworking “Pearl’s” concept in order to make it more marketable to networks, after Netflix dropped the cartoon series.
