British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle was recently in NYC without her husband or kids. There’s nothing wrong with a little mommy me time, right?

While there she wore her usual over the top wardrobe and that’s resulted in her being compared to the late Diana, the mother in law she never had a chance to meet.

For example, Diana wore a similar skirt to Princess Eugenie’s christening in 1990 “paired with a red Moschino houndstooth blazer.”

And, Catherine the Princess of Wales has also favored the checked pattern. In particular she “infamously sported a head-turning red-and-white houndstooth coat by Catherine Walker in 2018 – which royal fans took as a tribute to Diana.”

And the supreme, late Queen Elizabeth was also a fan of the “classic, elegant, and practical approach to fashion” that houndstooth represents.

Meghan’s mimicking of royal fashion trends has been going on for a while. The outlet notes that in February, “Meghan sported a matching jumper that Princess Diana wore back in 1996” even though she claimed to know nothing “about the Royal Family before she tied the knot with Prince Harry” in 2018.
