Meghan Markle Surprised at Finding True Happiness After Royal Life

2020 was a whirlwind time not just for Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and the rest of the Royal Family, but for us royal fans and watchers as well.

Meghan and Harry leaving the Royal Family brought about a huge media storm that is yet to entirely quieten down even now. But what they did the very next year would shock the world even more.

They went to Oprah and did a tell-all interview where they accused the Royal Family of several heinous crimes, one of them including racism. Harry calls it “unconscious bias” these days, but you get the drift don’t ya?

Well, leaving the Royal Family left more than a dent on the Royal Family. According to Meghan, at some point during pre- and post-Megxit, she lost her joy.

Five years on, and it seems the Sussexes have finally found the will to move on and to quit publicly biting the Royal Family.

These days, Meghan has got her hands full with different projects. This includes her Netflix cooking show, ‘With Love, Meghan,’ her Lemonada media podcast ‘Confessions of A Female Founder’ and her newly launched lifestyle brand, As Ever.

With all these occupying her mental space, she barely has anytime left to look back at any past hurts and pains.

“I’m the happiest that I’ve ever been,” she told TIME presenter Jessica Sibley during her latest New York visit to take part in a Time100 event. “And to have a partner and husband who is so supportive and have healthy kids who are so joyful and in the freeness of their life and the safety of their life we created for them.”

“Of all the things that happened I never would have imagined at this point I’d be so happy and free and I really do.”

Meghan, who also sells clothing items as an influencer via her website, brought her fashion A-game to the NYC event with an oversized $5,000 matching beige silk suit and white shirt. She paired it with a $495 suede heels and a $28,000 Cartier gold watch.
