Many wondered if Harry, let alone Meghan, would have the nerve to attend the event after refusing to forfeit the award despite a MoveOn.org petition and pushback from Tillman’s own mother.
In the end the Markles proved their critics right, showing no remorse by shamelessly showing up to an event not coincidently hosted by their buddy, tennis legend Serena Williams.
Williams announced the pair and then UK traitor Harry accepted the award named for a former NFL star who lost his life fighting in Afghanistan.
Harry and Meghan Show Up at ESPY’s
Tens of thousands signed an online petition demanding that ESPN rethink its controversial decision to give the clown prince an award based on heroism and bravery.
Instead of listening, ESPN defended their myopic choice, citing Harry’s role in allegedly helping to create The Invictus Games.
Then they doubled down on the deceit by running this ad: “Join Prince Harry Duke of Sussex, Quinta Brunson, & a special performance by Ciara at the #ESPYS at 8/7c on ABC!” ESPN is owned by Disney.
Speaking to the incredible drama dogging the Ginger Judas “hours before the event began, a small aircraft flew a mysterious message overhead aimed at Prince Harry overhead, cryptically urging him to ‘investigate Mumis death’” according to the Daily Mail.
Who Wanted Prince Harry to Win the Pat Tilllman Award?
But there was no stopping Harry and Meghan, not when Serena Williams was their personal protector and bodyguard.
At one point she quipped “This is my night” pointing to Harry and Meghan.” Social media had a field day speculating that she was in cahoots with Disney to give Harry the ESPY Award.
Later Harry scooped up the Pat Tillman Award, named after a man who ditched a pro football career “to enlist in the army in the wake of 9/11 before his death in Afghanistan in 2004.”
Let’s face it, Harry has no business being given, nor accepting, this award. When Tillman’s own mother rejected Harry as a worthy recipient, there was only one thing for Harry to do and that was politely and respectfully decline.
Instead he lived up to his reputation as a lout, surprising no one. It was Harry’s Big Boy moment and he failed on cue. What’s next, Pat Tillman flavored jam?
