Meghan Markle Threatened With $10 Million Lawsuit

Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand and Netflix show is only just celebrating its first full month since launch and yet the controversies continue to pour in. The latest one, however, may turn out to be the most damaging one yet, as the Duchess could be set back a few millions if things go particularly to design.

Woman Claims Meghan Markle’s Netflix Mixture Left Her With Blisters

Meghan Markle turned into an able lifestyle expert for Netflix in her series, ‘With Love, Meghan.’ In the show, the former actress shared many tips, some of which are helpful, and others, if reports are to be believed, that can be quite deadly.

According to Robin Patrick – a diabetic woman from Maryland in the United States – Meghan Markle’s homemade bath salts recipe left her with multiple injuries.

Said recipe was shared by Meghan in the very first episode of her show, and contained such items as Epsom and Himalayan salts, as well as arnica lavender oils.

Patrick – a member of Meghan’s fan base – decided to try out the recipe, with allegedly nasty results.

She told RadarOnline, “Initially, I experienced a mild tingling sensation without discomfort. However, as the water level rose to cover my legs and reached my buttocks, I began to feel burning and significant discomfort in those areas.”

She then shared heartbreaking pictures of these undesirable side effects, noting that Meghan’s recipe is “flawed and dangerous.”

She is asking for the “minimum” of $75,000 (£55,000) to cover medical expenses related to treatments of her alleged injuries.

She described her symptoms as “emotional distress, potential post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), loss of confidence in appearance, disfigurement, shortened life expectancy, and long-term medical care for injuries that may worsen over time.”

In addition to covering medical expenses, Patrick wants $10 million from Meghan and Netflix producers for their “reckless disregard for public safety.”

Meghan Markle’s Legal Team Reacts To Robin Patrick’s Claim the Duchess’s Netflix Recipe Was Dangerous

In an attempt to squash the news before it grows wings and damages the brand any further, Meghan’s legal team promptly responded to the claims with a reasonable argument.

Cameron Stracher pointed out that Patrick should have been aware of the risks Epsom salt poses to diabetic people, adding, “There can be no negligence claim against anyone involved in the production or distribution of the series.”
