The Duchess of Sussex has used her Netflix show to take a swipe at the royals. In one of the final episodes of her series, Meghan says that she’s been so excited to start this new chapter in her life and that she’s missed being able to show the world just how creative she is.

That’s because when she began her relationship with Prince Harry, Meghan was forced to shut down her lifestyle blog, The Tig, and even had to stop working as a Hollywood actress, per royal protocol.

She even accused royal aides from restricting her freedom of expression when she was a member of the royal family.

Speaking to her friends in the final episode, Meghan said, “I just want to raise a glass to you guys. This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I’m able to share and I’ve been able to learn from all of you. So I just thank you for all the love and support.”

“And here we go, there’s a business! All of that is part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much, so thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me.”

Now, whether or not this was a direct aim at the royals, no one really knows, but that’s how some critics are interpreting it.

With that said, it will be interesting to see if Meghan’s show, With Love, Meghan, will be renewed for a second season. So far the Duchess of Sussex has not made any comments about the matter just yet. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in.
