It looks like she’s still taking pieces of her late mother-in-law with her everywhere she goes. There’s a new report that says Meghan Markle wore one of Princess Diana’s necklaces in Nigeria. According to Page Six, the Duchess of Sussex was seen wearing a cross necklace that supposedly belonged to the late Princess Diana. Even though it was part of her private collection, Diana was never photographed wearing it.

But of course, Meghan Markle beamed with pride while wearing the piece of jewelry, which she wore with a strapless white gown.

Apparently, Meghan still wants to make a statement and is using Diana’s jewelry to send out a message.

One source close to the situation put it this way, “Diana remains a prominent force in Harry’s life and as a result, Meghan’s. So much of his work is inspired by his mum, and it’s evident how much she still means to him. A gift to his wife that once belonged to his mother is incredibly meaningful and that isn’t lost on his wife.”

The insider also said, “Meghan likes to curate her jewelry to tell a certain story. I find it hard to believe that she’s been sitting on this necklace for 5 years.”

Yet, another tipster that was once close to Diana says that he didn’t recognize the cross necklace at all.

He said, “In fact, Diana was ever the professional and she generally avoided wearing religious motifs of any kind because they have the potential to offend people, so she would never usually wear such a thing.”

So far Meghan Markle herself has made no comments about the matter.
