3 Reasons Why Meghan Markle’s Estranged Sister Samantha Markle Is Being So Quiet Now

If there’s anything positive that has come out of Megxit, it’s the fact that Meghan Markle’s estranged sister Samantha Markle has been rather quiet lately. And while no one knows exactly why Samantha has stopped talking to the press in recent months, there are a few factors and signs that say Samantha has become yesterday’s news. Here are five reasons why.

#1 Harry And Meghan Are Back In The States

You’d think that now Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in the U.S. and living full-time in Los Angeles, Samantha Markle would use it as an opportunity to try to get even “closer” to them, or at least attempt to knock on their front door. That is something she did while Harry and Meghan were living back in London, as Samantha famously left a hand-written letter for Meghan outside of Buckingham Palace.

Strangely enough, Samantha hasn’t attempted to reach out to Meghan in Los Angeles. You’d think they would have a Markle family reunion in the Golden State by now, but Samantha has been suspiciously keeping her distance. She knows better than to show up at Hollywood’s doorstep.

#2 Meghan And Thomas Markle’s Legal Mess

Let’s face it: the main reason why Samantha Markle has been so quiet these last several weeks is that she doesn’t want to add any fuel to the fire that is between Meghan Markle and their father, Thomas Markle Sr. It’s one thing that grant interviews to the media and talk about all of your family’s dirty laundry in public, but it’s another thing to say it knowing that you might be thrust in the middle of an ugly legal battle between your estranged sister and your father.

Samantha might be a lot of things to a lot of people, but in this case, at least she knows that she’s better off saying nothing at all. Or at least until someone offers her a new book deal.

#3 Samantha Might Have Said Too Much, Too Soon

If there has been one person who has been Meghan Markle’s most vocal critic from the very start, that person has been Samantha Markle. For the first two years of Meghan’s relationship with Prince Harry, a week didn’t go by that Samantha didn’t have something to say or criticize about the couple.

Well, it’s hard to constantly slam someone that you haven’t physically seen or spoke to in several years, right? Samantha might have said too much, too soon and now her biggest resource – being Meghan’s sister – might have dried up, as she no longer has contact or access to one of the most popular royal members of the family in the world. That is until the next scandal comes up and Samantha will see it as an opportunity to once again say what’s on her mind.
