For the most part, the Duchess of Sussex has managed to look calm, cool and collected whenever she’s at one of her royal engagements or at a public appearance with her husband, Prince Harry. But it turns out that she’s not only still learning the ropes, but also getting used to all of the attention that she is getting. And a lot of that can be overwhelming. In fact, Meghan might be putting her hand in her pocket often because it might be a sign that she is feeling nervous or worse, wants to hide.

Body language expert Judi James told OK! Magazine in an interview, “Prince Charles does it, Prince Harry does it and even little Prince George has been seen doing it, but Meghan might be the first royal woman to shove her hand into a pocket when she’s out in public. The classic reason for this very common gesture is that it signals a subliminal desire to hide, especially when the hands are shoved deep into the pockets.”
Of course, no one knows that for sure, especially since Meghan managed to carry herself so well in public. That, or she might indeed have a tissue or her favorite lip balm in her pocket, too!
