Royal Family news suggests that King Charles may be giving Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their family the cold shoulder.
Even though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly been back in the UK for several months, they have yet to meet face-to-face with King Charles and Queen Camilla since their return.
And as far as the other members of the royal family are concerned, it doesn’t appear that anyone is rushing to arrange a reunion.
Key Takeaways
- Charles reportedly hasn’t met the Sussexes.
- Harry and Meghan remain in the UK.
- William reportedly still holds a grudge.
- A summer meeting raised reconciliation hopes.
- Another royal reunion remains uncertain.
Prince William Still Keeping His Distance?

Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly still upset over the Sussexes’ previous tell-all interviews and public criticism of the royal family.
After everything that has been said, it’s hardly surprising that a family reunion might be uncomfortable.
William is also rumored to hold Meghan responsible for much of the ongoing royal feud.
Whether that’s truly how he feels remains unclear, but reports suggest that the Prince of Wales isn’t eager to spend time with his sister-in-law.
And if avoiding Meghan means keeping his distance from Harry, too, William apparently isn’t changing his mind anytime soon.

King Charles Is Reportedly Avoiding The Sussexes
However, the situation with King Charles is a little different.
Harry and Meghan reportedly met with the monarch over the summer, before their return to the UK.
That meeting sparked speculation that relations between the Sussexes and King Charles were finally improving.
In fact, some royal watchers assumed that Harry and Meghan were back on good terms with the King.
That’s why the latest reports suggesting Charles is keeping his distance are raising eyebrows.
One would think that if repairing his relationship with Harry were a priority, King Charles could find a little room in his busy schedule for another meeting, right?
Of course, the monarch has plenty of royal responsibilities, and a lack of public appearances together doesn’t necessarily mean he’s deliberately avoiding his son.
Still, after months of speculation about a possible reconciliation, the apparent lack of progress isn’t exactly encouraging.
Is Another Royal Reconciliation In Trouble?
So, is King Charles genuinely too busy to see Harry and Meghan, or is he choosing to keep his distance?
That’s the question royal watchers are asking.
For now, neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle has publicly addressed the latest claims.
And until there’s confirmation from the palace or the Sussexes, it’s difficult to know what’s really happening behind closed doors.
One thing is certain: the royal family drama doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon.
Annemarie’s Take
I find this situation rather interesting. If Harry and Meghan really have been back in the UK for months, you’d think there would have been at least one family gathering by now.
But then again, perhaps King Charles has decided that keeping a little distance is the easiest way to avoid another round of royal drama.
I also wonder whether William’s reported feelings about Meghan are making things more complicated for everyone involved.
Personally, I think Harry and Charles should be able to work on their relationship without every meeting becoming a major public event.
But after everything that’s happened, I suspect rebuilding trust won’t be nearly as easy as simply arranging afternoon tea.
What do you think? Is King Charles deliberately avoiding Harry and Meghan, or are the Sussexes expecting too much from the royal family? Let us know in the comments below!
