The pregnant Duchess had a “walkabout meeting” with the fans of the city. She wore a black short sleeve dress, made by ASOS. According to Yahoo, the dress was only $56 and it is available in limited quantities online. Over the thrifty dress, she wore a $750 plaid trench coat by designer Karen Walker. She paired the simple little black dress with a colorful trench coat.

Meghan’s exact plaid trench coat is sold out, but it is available in Navy plaid. It isn’t the same color, but it is equally as chic as Markle’s coat. The Duchess completed her look with a pin in honor of the soldiers that have died in the war. She has been spotted wearing the poppy pin all week. She pulled her hair back and she did not wear very much makeup.

Since announcing her pregnancy two weeks ago, Meghan has become the woman to watch for affordable maternity wear. Throughout her 16-day royal tour, she has worn a number of pieces that retailed for under $250. In the past, she has worn pieces off-the-rack, something that most of the royal clan do not do.

The couple will spend a few days in New Zealand, wrapping up the tour on October 31. The Duchess gave an inspiring speech to honor the 125th anniversary of women’s suffrage. She spoke about the importance of women’s rights and she pointed out many of the accomplishments of women in New Zealand.

“The achievements of the women in New Zealand who campaigned for their right to vote, and were the first in the world to achieve it, are universally admired,” Meghan said. “Women’s suffrage is about feminism, but feminism is about fairness.”

Are you surprised that Meghan Markle is wearing so many affordable maternity wear?
