Meghan Markle’s Baby Bump Fuels New Speculation

Apparently, there are royal fans out there that are fueling new speculation about Meghan Markle’s pregnancy. That’s because there are some people who believe that the Duchess of Sussex might not be six months pregnant. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Britain’s The Sun, some fans and observers insist that Meghan Markle’s baby bump is more than six months along, despite the fact that every woman carries her pregnant bellies differently. Even though Meghan recently said that she is due during the last week of April, she did not specify an exact due date.

With that said though, a lot of social media followers aren’t convinced while others were adamant that Meghan couldn’t be accurate. Some people have left comments on social media such as, “No way she’s only six months” while another said: “6 months? It’s gonna’ be a 20 pounder by April!” along with, “Seen women in labor with smaller bumps.”

If that weren’t enough, there are even some people out there who think that Meghan is carrying twins! Dr. Sarah Jarvis, a General Practitioner and Clinical Director of Patient.info says that bumps come in all different shapes and sizes. How a baby bump appears all depends on a woman’s body type.

She explained, “Taller women usually have more space in the tummy cavity to hold the baby, so it may not stick out as much. Women who have done a lot of exercise may have stronger stomach muscles, so their bump may seem smaller. The size of your bump is often bigger at an earlier stage in second and subsequent pregnancies, because the muscles of the stomach wall have been stretched by the previous pregnancy.”

Dr. Jarvis also added that the baby’s position in the womb can affect the size of your bump. She further said, “For example, the most common position for a baby to lie in the last three months of pregnancy is with the back facing at 30-90 degrees away from the front of the tummy. A baby lying with their back along the mother’s spine may stick out more.”
