O’Neil said that her stylist reached out to him to request that he make a dress for Markle’s Australian tour. He recalled that he was busy preparing for a bridal show, but he stopped everything to work on Meghan’s dress.
In just two days, the designing team created and shipped the gown to the Duchess. They heard from Meghan’s rep that she loved the dress. The designing genius revealed he knew she was expecting while creating her new dress. He said there was one little detail that gave it all away.

O’Neil disclosed that they asked he design the gown with an extra seam allowance. He knew immediately why they would need this extra seam allowance as he has designed many wedding gowns for expectant mothers.
He joked that it was a hard deadline to meet as they barely made it. He said he made the gown and with just seconds to spare, got the gown shipped to Meghan.
O’Neil shared that working with Meghan was a pleasure. He noted that she has long been an inspiration for many of his creations. He said that she has a classic, effortless, sporty style.
The designer continues, “I am humbled and sooo excited to dress The Duchess of Sussex. It has been an exciting whirlwind collaboration. Her Royal Highness is a truly beautiful inspiring woman, a bright shining light in this world, and we at Theia are truly honored to be part of The Royal Tour of Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.”
